Senators Deal Titans 8-3 Defeat
The Washington Senators picked up a win at Polo Grounds II, dropping the New York Titans, 8-3. Rajam Masrani, who is tied for 2nd in the EC in innings pitched with 184.2, was the difference-maker. Masrani, now 7-13, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The win puts Washington at 53-80.

Washington got a big at-bat from Hachioji, Japan native Kiyomi Yoshimura, who in the top of the third hit a 3-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Senators ahead, 7-0.

"Rajam is good at sticking to his strengths," said Washington manager Josh Cooan.
