Thunderbirds Win at Home, 5-2

The Phoenix Thunderbirds picked up a win at Legednary Park, knocking off the Montreal Harfangs, 5-2. Starting pitcher Les Ralph was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Ralph, now 2-3. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Forbes Kopecky picked up the save, his 2nd.
The Thunderbirds got a big at-bat from right fielder Cody McLaughlin. For the game, McLaughlin was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Phoenix a 2-1 lead.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Ralph.
Phoenix is now 18-21.
