Titans Pick Up 2-1 Road Win Over Brooklyn
|
Brown Town was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
The Brooklyn Browns could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Keung Fung into a win. Instead, the New York Titans prevailed, 2-1. Fung threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Rafael Escobar recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 3 for 3.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alex Lomeli? The New York third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Titans on top, 2-1. For the game, Lomeli had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Lomeli attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
With the win over Brooklyn, the Titans improved to 60-73.
