A good performance from shortstop Omar Jamaica helped the San Diego Destroyers defeat the Alaska Kodiaks, 8-6. Jamaica went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Destroyers. The win has San Diego at 51-85.
San Diego first baseman Jon Sitterley contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 81st hit of the season and put the Destroyers ahead, 8-4.
