Lobster Grind Out 2-1 Win
|
The Maine Lobster, behind a great outing from Jim Lawrence, who is tied for 2nd in the EC with a 10.6 K/9 rate, defeated the Buffalo Rangers, 2-1, at Bison Stadium. Chris Maxwell got the save, the 17th for him this season. The Lobster have a one-game lead in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division.
William Sanjines came through with a big-time hit for Maine. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Jim showed what he's made of," said Maine manager Matthew McExpos.
