Stars Tack 8-2 Loss on Toros
|
Los Angeles Stars starter Juan Fonseca kept the Tucson Toros hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 8-2 win. Fonseca, now 9-6, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Los Angeles, at 74-63, occupies third place in the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ramão Bizarro? The Los Angeles left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Stars on top, 2-0. For the game, Bizarro had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We took home the win," said Bizarro. "What's not to like?"
