Juggernauts Flatten Spectres, 9-2
|
Daniel Taylor, who finished 4th in the EC in strikeouts with 195 in 2082, propelled his team to victory over the Philadelphia Spectres. The final score was 9-2, Toronto. The losing streak for Philadelphia has now reached 4 games.
Hiromu Murakami had a big bases-clearing double for the Juggernauts in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Gary Banks and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 27th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Juggernauts ahead, 4-0.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Murakami told the Toronto Daily News.
