|
Though he had a terrific game, Manny Venzor could not prevent his team, the Houston Aquas, from absorbing a loss. San Francisco won the game, 6-4. Venzor was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. The winner was Tony Rosa in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Slider Brooks took the loss. Salvatore Pino notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Jorge Bribiesca helped out the San Francisco cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.
Said Houston manager Brandon Coroian: "They just got the better of us."
The 4th-place Friars have won 6 consecutive games.
