The Cincinnati Twins picked up a win at Cincinnati Grounds, topping the Baltimore Kings, 4-3. On the mound for Cincinnati was right-hander Ruben Escobar. He played a principal role in the triumph. The win belonged to Phil Cromsie in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Marc Diamond took the loss for Baltimore. By defeating Baltimore, the third-place Twins improved to 69-68.

Alex Sierra was the walk-off hero for Cincinnati. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twins left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Ruben went out and did what we needed," said Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops.
