The Las Vegas Aces got a good effort from starter Brian Burda in defeating the Vancouver Wolves at Western Coliseum. The final score was 5-0. Las Vegas, at 65-73, occupies third place in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.

The Aces got a big boost from first baseman Justin Evans who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Wolves hurler Jarrod Beckman. It was his 41st walk of the season and put Las Vegas on top, 1-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Evans told the Las Vegas Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
