In a low-scoring game between the Denver Glaciers and the San Diego Destroyers, pitcher Jose Arruebarrena was masterful on the mound. The Denver right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Adam Mimnaugh got the save, the 35th for him this season. Denver, at 78-61, holds down first place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.

The Glaciers got a big at-bat from right fielder John Sauve. For the game, Sauve went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Denver a 1-0 lead.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Arruebarrena said.
