Kodiaks Turn Back Arrows, 4-2
|
The Alaska Kodiaks defeated the Seattle Arrows, 4-2. Doing his part was first baseman Emilio Oregon, who was 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Alaska occupies second place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division at 75-65.
Oregon had a game-changing triple in the top of the sixth. On a 0-2 fastball from Felipe Diaz, he banged a run-scoring triple to right-center, giving the Kodiaks a 2-1 lead. It was the 4th triple of the year for Oregon.
Oregon attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
