Alex Flores did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Montreal Harfangs from being beaten, 8-5, to the Baltimore Kings at AT&T Park. Flores was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Chris Audibert picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Buddy Verveer, who is a two-time All-Star, was tagged with the loss. The save was credited to Raudelin Proenza, his 7th.

Baltimore center fielder Francisco Mateus contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 125th hit of the season and put the Kings ahead, 4-0.

"Good, gritty kind of win," said Kings manager Brad Carpenter.

The misery continues for the Harfangs, who have now dropped 12 in a row.
