Lobster Squelch Rangers Offense in Shutout Win
The Maine Lobster tallied a win at Ballpark of Portland, throttling the Buffalo Rangers, 5-0. Starting pitcher Felix Talamantez was a big reason for his team's success. The Lobster saw their win-loss record go to 77-64. At the same time, the Rangers fell to 77-64.

Jacob Testaverde had a big 2-run double for the Lobster in the bottom of the second inning. With Maine leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Jose Nereida, who finished 3rd in the EC in innings pitched with 216.1 in 2081, and swatted a double to center. It was his 44th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lobster ahead, 4-0.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Alex Beckman.
