Juggernauts Get One-Run Win at Philadelphia
|
Philadelphia got a terrific game from right fielder Ron Gideon. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Toronto, 9-8. Gideon went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Dainier Rivalta in relief, making him now 2-0. Divino Aljeroz took the loss for Philadelphia. With the win, the Juggernauts improved to 68-73.
Ricardo Garrido went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 3 RBI for Toronto. The 24-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Divino Aljeroz. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Garrido.
