Late Rally by Phantoms Secures 8-4 Win
The Seattle Arrows could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Kevin Voda into a win. Instead, the Chicago Phantoms prevailed, 8-4. Voda threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Jake Orthman earned the win, while 25-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Fife took the loss for Seattle. The first-place Phantoms lifted their record to 86-57.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lan-quing Qiu? The Chicago designated hitter had a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Phantoms on top, 5-4. For the game, Qiu had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We've got a great group of guys," Qiu said, "and we're having fun right now."
