Wolves Stymie Las Vegas, Take 4-1 Win
|
The Vancouver Wolves stymied the Las Vegas Aces, 4-1, at Fox-Chong Park. Minoru Kume had a good day at the plate. He went 3-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times for Vancouver. The winning pitcher was former first round draft pick Jarrod Beckman. He tossed 95 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. With the win, the Wolves have a record of 65-78.
Left Fielder Paul Rees made an impact for Vancouver, when he swatted a solo home run off Brian Burda in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Rees was 1-4 with a home run.
"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Kume. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
