Les Ralph pitched well, but his team, the Montreal Harfangs, still dropped a 4-1 decision to the Miami Cyclones at Mount Royal Park. Danny Rangel got credit for the save for Miami. It was his 7th of the year. The 'W' lifts Miami's record to 63-78.
Koson Kitano, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kitano contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Miami up, 3-1.
Kitano called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
