Cyclones Earn 2-1 Road Win Over Montreal
|
The Cyclones faced a stiff challenge from Montreal pitcher John Goeman, but persevered to claim a win at Mount Royal Park. The final score was 2-1. Goeman went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Picking up the win was Manel Romosinho. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 6 and walked 5. Danny Rangel got the save, the 8th for him this season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Chris Hodges? The Miami first baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cyclones on top, 2-1. For the game, Hodges had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
