The Washington Senators picked up a win at The ESPN Zone, downing the St. Louis Gaedels, 1-0, in 11 innings. On the mound for Washington was right-hander Monte Haworth, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner in relief was Josh Breaux. He is now 7-4. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. With the win, the Senators have a record of 56-88.
The Senators got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Misael Hernandez. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Senators.
