Markosiants Belts 2 Homers in 8-5 Win
The San Francisco Friars stopped the Portland Dragons, 8-5, behind an impressive performance from Lyalya Markosiants. The eight-time All-Star made life miserable for Portland pitching. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. Their 20-20 record puts the Friars 4th in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.

In the top of the seventh, the Friars grabbed the lead when Markosiants hit his 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Kazuhisa Okabe made it 6-4, San Francisco.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Markosiants said after the game.
