Glaciers, Starr Deal Kodiaks 7-2 Setback

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Denver Glaciers and Alaska Kodiaks.
Denver pitcher Earl Starr had a large part in his team subduing the Alaska Kodiaks, 7-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The first-place Glaciers have won 4 in a row.
Starr was effective against the Kodiaks, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Alaska to just 1 run on 4 hits over 8.2 innings.
"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Starr.
