Toros Topple Thunderbirds with Late Rally
Starting pitcher Miguel Moquete gave the Tucson Toros a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 2-1, at Aetna Stadium. Tucson pitcher Cody Sosnowski got the win, upping his record to 4-1. John Intriago got the loss. With this game in the books, Tucson is 75-71, Phoenix 59-87.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Tucson. That's when Mario Flores hit a solo home run off 16-year veteran John Intriago to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Flores said.
