San Francisco Friars starter Kiyohiro Kaneshiro hurled his team past the Vancouver Wolves, 4-1. With the win, the Friars improved to 67-79.

The Friars had to work out of trouble with no one out in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-1, San Francisco. But Vancouver, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Matt Szymanski dug in at the plate. But on a first pitch fastball, Szymanski hit into a double play.
