Lobster Make Juggernauts 3-1 Losers
|
Molson Park was the site of a competitive game between the Toronto Juggernauts and Maine Lobster.
The Maine Lobster got a magnificent performance from pitcher Felix Talamantez, who muffled the Toronto offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Lobster win at Molson Park. Talamantez, now 11-7, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Chris Maxwell got the save, the 20th for him this season.
The Lobster got a big at-bat from catcher Roberto Fondin. For the game, Fondin was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave Maine a 2-0 lead.
"Felix is a gamer," said Maine manager Matthew McExpos.
The loss makes Toronto 70-76.
