Phantoms Lose 2-1 Decision to Las Vegas
Las Vegas pitcher Salomé Sieuve did his part in helping his team defeat the Chicago Phantoms, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Sieuve yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 11-8. J.P. McNealy picked up the save for Las Vegas, his 21st of the year.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Aces had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when center fielder Venceslau Pontes hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Trevor Laverick and made the score 2-0, Aces. Pontes went 2-4 with a double.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Pontes.

The Aces improved their record to 68-79 with the win over Chicago.
