Alex Riera helped his team muscle past the Minneapolis Vikings, 12-6. In the game, the Phoenix first baseman went 1 for 3 with a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Phoenix now has a 3-game win streak.

Riera had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 curveball from Edwin Contreras, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Thunderbirds a 8-6 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Riera.
