A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Houston Aquas and San Diego Destroyers.

The Houston Aquas defeated the San Diego Destroyers, 7-5, in Western Conference action at Tesoro Stadium. Al Anzaldua pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ricky Zika earned the win to go to 12-9. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in 8 innings of work.

Craig Lightsey, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances.
