Browns Earn Clutch Win, 2-1

The Brooklyn Browns downed the St. Louis Gaedels, 2-1, at Brown Town. Stellar pitching by Josh Hebrank had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is a two-time All-Star, handcuffed his opponent all game. The loss makes St. Louis 62-85.
The Browns were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when former first round draft pick Raymilson Bayam landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch splitter from Frank Hubert into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Brown Town denizens into a frenzy and sent the Browns home with a thrilling 2-1 win.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Hebrank.
