Chicago 90-58 After 8-3 Win Over Houston
|
The Chicago Phantoms had to overcome a big game from Houston right fielder Edgar Albuja to leave Tesoro Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-3. Albuja went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jake Orthman picked up the win, improving his season record to 14-9. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. The first-place Phantoms now have a win-loss record of 90-58.
With two out in the top of the third, Miklas Shervill put Chicago in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Phantoms went on to win the ballgame.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Shervill. "More importantly, I had a good game."
