Kings Lose to Twins in Walk Off
|
The Cincinnati Twins beat the Baltimore Kings, 2-1, at Cincinnati Grounds. Starting pitcher Dainer Madera was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Theo Campbell picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-3. Barnes Boerma was tagged with the loss. Cincinnati is now 62-86.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Cincinnati trailing 1-0, Willie Flores hit a fastball from Barnes Boerma to left-center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Twins had a walk-off win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Flores said.
