Kodiaks Take Down Vikings, 4-3
|
Behind the hitting of Shigeru Muto, the Alaska Kodiaks stopped the Minneapolis Vikings, 4-3. Muto went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Kodiaks. The Vikings have now dropped 5 straight.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Muto hit a fastball from Manny Medina for a run-scoring single. The Kodiaks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan.
