The San Francisco Friars wiggled past the Las Vegas Aces, 4-3, in 10 innings at Staples Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of San Francisco pitcher George Roscoe. San Francisco goes to 70-79, Las Vegas to 68-81.

The Friars got a clutch hit from third baseman Ken Draves. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Friars.

After the game, San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
