The Houston Aquas beat the Chicago Phantoms, 7-4, at Tesoro Stadium. Houston third baseman Craig Lightsey had an outstanding performance. He went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Yadisniel Saez. He tossed 102 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. Danny Mathews earned the save, his 31st.
Early in the game, Lightsey had a 2-run home run for Houston. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Aquas on top, 2-0.
"Nice win for us," said Lightsey. "Now we'll go after the next one."
The win makes Houston 79-70.
