Baltimore Beats Washington, Goes to 94-56
|
The Baltimore Kings defeated the Washington Senators by the score of 4-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Robbie Klabunde. Klabunde was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Kings on the day. Baltimore reliever Yasniel Ramirez picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Ian Huycke was tagged with the loss. The Kings improved their record to 94-56 with the win over Washington.
Klabunde contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Baltimore get the win.
"This was a nice win for us," said Klabunde. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
