Philadelphia Spectres starter Bruce Roque was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Maine Lobster, 4-2. Earning his 12th save of the year was Divino Aljeroz. Philadelphia is now 78-71. Maine is 81-69.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Spectres designated hitter Dave Palacios hit a fastball from Jesus Meza for a 2-run single. Just like that, Philadelphia was up, 3-2.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Palacios told the Philadelphia Bulletin. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
