Toronto Rocks Phoenix, 11-0
|
The Toronto Juggernauts scored a convincing win at Molson Park, defeating the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 11-0. One of the hitting stars was 26-year old first baseman Bu-wei Kuang who was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The Juggernauts are now 74-76, while the Thunderbirds fall to 59-91.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Kuang hit a 3-run home run off Ernesto Alvarez. It propelled the Juggernauts into the lead, 3-0.
"Not the preferred outcome," Phoenix manager Joe Busch said, when asked afterward about the game.
