Glaciers Suffer 3-1 Home Loss
|
Mountain Dew Park was the site of a tense game between the Denver Glaciers and Seattle Arrows.
Seattle Arrows starter Johnny Veenstra worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Denver Glaciers, 3-1. Veenstra, now 4-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Victor Roman closed the game out for Seattle, earning his 4th save.
Danny Grandgeorge, the 22-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Grandgeorge contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Seattle up, 3-1.
Veenstra said his team "played with determination."
The third-place Arrows have won 4 straight.
