Behind the bravura of left fielder Diego Velasquez, the Phoenix Thunderbirds topped the Kansas City Athletics by the score of 7-1. Velasquez was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Thunderbirds. Phoenix occupies last place in the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division at 60-92.
