Harfangs Post 3-1 Win Over Brooklyn
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Montreal Harfangs and the Brooklyn Browns. Montreal won it, 3-1. Montreal starter Larry Daig was in command. Daig picked up the win for Montreal, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. Bill Snelgrove earned the save, his 6th, for the Harfangs.
Montreal relied on the hitting of Joseph Stulken to pick up the win. The catcher ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Harfangs on top, 3-1. For the game, Stulken had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
