Nereida Lays Hammer Down in 6-0 Win
|
Jose Nereida was outstanding against Philadelphia. The left-hander, who finished 3rd in the EC in strikeouts with 230 in 2081, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Rangers 6-0 win. At 84-67, the Rangers have a slim two-game lead in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division.
The Spectres had little chance against Nereida, who overpowered Philadelphia hitters and struck out 11.
"When Jose executes, it really doesn't matter what the other lineup is," said Buffalo field general Alex Beckman.
