Victory Takes Senators to 86-65
|
Washington picked up a win at Arrington Park, toppling the Boston Greens, 6-4. Pitcher Les Ralph was one of the reasons the Senators triumphed. Ralph went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 15-7. Keung King recorded the save, his 12th.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alex Gado? The Washington shortstop had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Senators on top, 5-4. For the game, Gado had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll savor this win," Gado told the Washington Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
Washington currently is in second place in the Eastern Conference Jose Santovenia Division at 86-65.
