Arrows Score Late to Beat Aces, 6-5
|
Seattle designated hitter Danny Nieto made his presence felt in the 6-5 Arrows triumph over the Las Vegas Aces. Nieto was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Seattle is now 16-26, Las Vegas 22-18.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Seattle trailing 5-3, Nieto jumped on a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Nestor Cantu and hit a 3-run home run to left-center. With one swing, the Arrows had a walk-off win.
"This game was intense," Nieto said, postgame.
