Riding the 2-hit performance of the 25-year old right fielder Mike Owens, the New York Titans stopped the Cincinnati Twins, 4-2. Pierre Prent got the save, the 6th for him this season. The second-place Titans hiked their record to 79-72.

With two out in the bottom of the fourth, DeMario Natividad put New York in front, 3-0, with a 2-run single. The Titans went on to win the ballgame.

Natividad called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
