Montreal beat Buffalo at Bison Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win in 10 innings. The win in large part was due to second baseman Billy Buelna. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win was credited to 39-year old left-handed pitcher Tetsukazu Kaneda in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Josh Trejo took the loss. Touta Kubo got credit for the save for Montreal. It was his 2nd of the year.

Buelna had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch slider from Josh Trejo, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Harfangs a 6-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Buelna.

"We earned that one," said Buelna.

Montreal, at 24-21, holds down second place in the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division.
