Baltimore wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Motoaki Tajiri, falling to the San Francisco Friars, 2-1. Tajiri threw 8.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. George Roscoe was the winner. He's now 5-5. The loser was former first round draft pick Motoaki Tajiri. The Friars improved their record to 22-24 with the win over Baltimore.

DeMario Custodio, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2080 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Custodio contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put San Francisco up, 2-1.

"Tough loss," said Baltimore manager Andrew Schweizer. "The kind that burns a little inside."
