The St. Louis Gaedels wasted an inspired, 7.1-inning effort from starter Grant Latour, falling, 2-1, to the Las Vegas Aces at Western Coliseum. Dylan Cisar, who finished 5th in the WC in strikeouts with 193 in 2081, picked up the win in relief. Jesus Loyola took the loss for St. Louis. The save went to Jimmy Hsia, his 6th this season.

Las Vegas took a 2-1 lead on Venceslau Pontes's 10th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Pontes hit in the bottom of the eighth, left St. Louis pitcher Jesus Loyola visibly frustrated.

"Watch and learn," said Pontes. "This is what good pitching looks like."

The Aces are now 26-21.
