Big Day at the Plate for McKasson Not Enough for Spectres
|
The Buffalo Rangers withstood a fine game by Philadelphia left fielder Mike McKasson at Bison Stadium, to upend the Spectres, 8-6. McKasson was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. The winning pitcher was Bobby Jaramillo. He's now 5-4. He went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits for the Rangers. Ricardo Alas collected save number 10.
Charlie Cole's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for Buffalo. Coming to bat with no one out, the bases loaded and Buffalo trailing 4-3, the right fielder reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 1 run.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Cole after the game.
The first-place Rangers have won 4 straight.
