|
Minneapolis right-hander Victor Garza helped his team edge Phoenix by the score of 3-2. Garza kept the opposing lineup in check. The win for the Vikings raised their record to 80-73.
Minneapolis used a timely hit from Lien-ying Tsai to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Vikings ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Tough loss," said Phoenix manager Joe Busch. "But we'll learn from it."
