With 2-1 Win, Dragons Go to 79-74
The San Diego Destroyers got a superb performance from pitcher Juzo Matsumoto. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Portland. The Dragons won the game, 2-1. Matsumoto threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Jose Contreras was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-0. The losing pitcher was Juzo Matsumoto. Portland is now 79-74, San Diego 61-92.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Dragons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when second baseman Wook-jin Lee hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Juzo Matsumoto and made the score 2-1, Dragons. Lee was 1-3.

"Enjoyed this one," Lee told the Portland Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
