Slider Brooks was superb against Phoenix. The left-hander, who finished 2nd in the WC in ERA with 2.39 in 2074, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Vikings victory. The score was 2-0. Johnny Wickwire finished the game for Minneapolis and earned his 15th save. Phoenix has now lost 7 in a row.
